Overview

Inside a collision & fire recovery

Collision and fire take a vehicle off the road without warning. We handle the whole recovery in-house — damage assessment and insurer estimating, structural and frame straightening, panel, body and glass repair, then a full refinish — so your coach or bus comes back safe, straight and looking right.

Damage assessment & estimating

Every vehicle starts with a full assessment. We document the impact, strip back to expose hidden damage, and build a precise repair plan with Mitchell estimating. We work directly with your insurer — submitting the estimate and coordinating approvals and supplements — so the claim keeps moving without you chasing it.

  • Full strip-down assessment
  • Mitchell estimating
  • Insurer-direct claim handling

Structural & frame repair

Impact often bends more than the panels. We measure the structure, straighten frame and chassis sections to manufacturer specification, and cut out and replace any steel that cannot be trued. Alignment is checked against spec so the vehicle is sound and safe to carry passengers again.

  • Computerised frame straightening
  • Repair to manufacturer spec
  • Structural steel cut & replace

Panel, body & glass

Damaged panels, bumpers, doors and glass are repaired or replaced and the bodywork is rebuilt back to its original lines. Destination glass, mirrors and exterior fittings are renewed where needed, so the exterior is whole again before it heads for paint.

  • Panel, bumper & door repair
  • Glass & mirror replacement
  • Bodywork rebuilt to original lines

Fire & water recovery

Fire and the water used to fight it leave damage well beyond the burn — soot, heat-warped trim, corroded wiring and contaminated interiors. We assess the full extent, strip and renew affected structure, wiring and interior, then refinish, so a recovered vehicle returns dependable rather than merely patched.

  • Soot, heat & water damage assessment
  • Wiring & interior renewal
  • Full refinish before return
FAQ

Frequently asked questions

  • Yes. We handle collision and fire claims insurer-direct — preparing the Mitchell estimate, submitting it, and coordinating approvals and any supplements through to completion.

  • Yes. We measure and straighten frame and chassis sections to manufacturer specification, and cut out and replace structural steel that cannot be trued. Alignment is verified before the vehicle goes back into service.

  • It depends on the severity of the damage and parts availability. A contained panel repair can be quick; a structural rebuild or fire recovery runs several weeks. We confirm a schedule once the vehicle has been assessed.

  • That is the standard we work to. Structural repairs follow manufacturer procedures, alignment is checked against spec, and systems are tested before handover so the vehicle returns road- and passenger-ready.

  • Our 32,000 sq-ft shop has drive-in bays sized for coaches, city buses and longer vehicles. If you are unsure whether your vehicle fits, send us the dimensions and we will confirm.
